Week 2 of gratitude.

I think I need to come up with a better name for this section of the blog, it needs to be more creative! But for now I’m tired after doing a night shift at the homeless shelter so it can wait until my brain is co-operating better!

Books; today I’ve had time to go to the library and pick up some books I wouldn’t usually pick up. Normally I go for the same authors or ones suggested by amazon, today I wandered round and picked up any that looked interesting. Now I’m currently curled up on a giant cushion with a hot chocolate and reading away.

Whatsapp; You know when you want to have a chat with a certain friend? One of my good friends has moved house recently and where he’s moved to has no phone signal and typically that was the person that I felt like talking to today, (for one of those relaxed happy chats that makes you feel happier with how life is going) so I’m happy that whatsapp has a call function so at least you can keep in contact.

Blogging; since starting a blog I’ve been spending some time each day reading through other peoples blogs, finding blogs with the same interests as me, or finding out what people are passionate about. Its made me feel so happy to see people being open, vulnerable, honest, passionate and creative through their blogs, and have people supporting them and giving thoughtful feedback. I find it hard to be vulnerable and open so I guess I’m thankful for this opportunity to still be me, but also develop ‘me’ πŸ™‚

my brother and his girlfriend are getting married πŸ™‚ I’m going to be a bridesmaid πŸ™‚ not sure if it’s thankful or what but it’s a happy feeling πŸ™‚

Thankful for cool fresh air when out for a run.

Being able to enjoy my own company. There was a time when I found it hard to be on my own with my own mind. Today I enjoyed relaxing and doing my own thing.

Today was a cozy nap (after night shift) and read day and it was lovely πŸ™‚
