Week 22 of gratitude

Recently I’ve read/heard or been reminded of some quotes that have made me smile and be thankful for what I have, so this week I thought I’d share a few of those instead.

‘I want much more than this provincial life!I want adventure in the great wide somewhere,I want it more than I can tell’ Belle from Beauty and the Beast

‘I thought you two’d value your friend more’n broomsticks or rats. Tha’s all.'” Hagrid, Harry Potter

I’m grateful for the quotes that give me a bit of perspective on whatever seems like a massive issue at the time.

‘If you wish to travel far and fast, travel light. Take off all your envies, insecurities, jealousies, unforgiveness’ and fears.’ Cesare Pavese.

‘You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.’  Winnie the Pooh

‘I really like the Welsh accent, you’d never think they were English’ from my Sister, tbh I think we could write a book of family quotes! Just makes me smile 🙂

I do not generally permit people to talk when I am talking.’ Professor Mcgonagall

Out of all the characters in Harry Potter I think Professor Mcgonagall is my favourite, I love her sarcasm.

‘I do not want to get to the end of my life and find that I have just lived the length of it, I want to have lived the width of bit as well.’ Diane Ackerman
