Week 45 of gratitude

Happy Birthday Helen 🙂 Helen is one of my cousins who who has always been a friend, ever since we were kids we met up in school holidays and played together. Now she lives in Devon we don’t get to see each other as much, but when we do meet up we carry on as we were before, and I’m grateful for that. Have a great day and see you at Christmas!

It’s a beautiful world. Thank you for the chance to see and remember it.

Today was a stressful day, ridiculously busy and just tense… so one of the guys I work with decided to make me smile by doing weird accents and pulling faces… it worked (although I’m still not sure if it was intentional or not) Thank you Kasra 🙂

“Alice asked the Cheshire Cat, who was sitting in a tree, “What road do I take?”
The cat asked, “Where do you want to go?”
“I don’t know,” Alice answered.
“Then,” said the cat, “it really doesn’t matter, does it?” Alice in Wonderland

Sometimes I struggle with ‘what am I doing with my life, I should be doing more’ so this quote is very freeing.

Chiquitos with a friend. Nothing better than nachos, cocktails and chats. Three of my favourite things.

Being honest, this has been a hard week, today I’m finding it hard to find something I’m thankful for. So I’m reminding myself of this, it gets better, I’ve been here before and I can do it again.

Thank you to the people who have fought so I could be free. I’m truly grateful for the sacrifices you made; leaving people you love not knowing if or when you would see them again, living and fighting in difficult and dangerous circumstances, suffering in ways I can’t imagine, and paying the ultimate price with your lives. Thank you to the people who stayed behind, fighting their own battle for our freedom in other ways. I will not forget.
